Character Bio

Aphrodite X is the last of a series of bio-androids designed for infiltration and assassination. She appears to be a fully functioning human being, but she was built/grown in a laboratory. Her positronic brain is taught rather than programmed. Unlike her predecessors, she is not capable of fully feeling emotions and is fully capable of submerging her base identity during missions, avoiding the problems with the earlier models in which they experienced pre-programmed "amnesiac" episodes upon completion of each mission. Due to the confusion brought on by the amnesia and the tendency to develop "human" personalities and attachments, the previous models were ineffective and had a tendency to rebel. X became trapped in the early 21st Century after a mission involving a tachyon field generator went awry. Materializing in Paragon City, X decided to join other heroes in quelling rebellion and crime. Though she knows she must eventually return to the future, she is in no hurry to do so.
