Character Bio

Kei Yamada was a normal Japanese teenager: interested only in boys, the hottest clothes, and the latest music. Then a deep space telescope de-orbited and crashed in a field near her home. Her family was killed instantly by the flames and radiation. Kei was left comatose. An experimental electromagnetic treatment to stabilize her deteriorating cellular structure altered her genetic makeup, and her body began generating dangerous levels of gravimetric and nuclear radiation. She was seized by authorities who first saw her as a danger to public safety...and later as a potential weapon. Escaping with the help of a young soldier who took pity, she fled to Paragon City leaving destruction in her wake. The top minds of the superhero community trained her to control the vast energies emitted by her body. She has joined the ranks of heroes, but still harbors a deep distrust and resentment of authority.
