Portal Corp's exploration of extradimensional worlds has led them to may places, including one listed in their records as only Gamma Upsilon 14-8. It is a desolate world, devestated by war between its version of the 5th Column and the Council, who battle to exterminate each other and all those who might stand against them. So they turned their weapons on the Portal Corp. teams, killing many and imprisoning the survivors.

Ninxi Asiga befriended one of the remaining members in the camp where they were detained, waiting for their own executions, and agreed to assist him in escape. In exchange, he brought her back to Paragon City.
