Silk, her third christening. Her second as Dale - the young silent 'son' and albatross of the Gallant Lady's guilt-stricken Captain.

On the eve of Cap's 33rd birthday, his 13th year at sea, three lights threw themselves from the horizon to the heavens. An omen, indeed. Ever indulgent to his carnivorous curiosity, the rogue had Diego turn hard left and towards the fiery spectacle.

The warmth called but, sadly, the science of stars and fate is cold. Paths taken can never be retraced. Having pushed his crew from voyage to voyage with little leave to satiate their fustrations, that excursion marked a terrible turn in the sum of their souls. Profiteers and not murderers. Rough though not dangerous - but drink had been plenty. Oh the excuses he'd made to his dead mother during prayers whispered low every night thereafter.

Pyrate Law dictates daughters of Eve cannot trek sea, so orphan made was guised and raised as his own. A life she lived to hate.
