As a picture is a thousand words he is a thousand years old as old as the painting of him. At least that was the beginning of the story of Doreean Gray. As time went on the painting and him became legend and as legends go they never die... Neither did Doreean a black magician found his remains and reunited him with his painting over a long journey to find someone who would be willing to do the painting "just so". To make another copy of the original painting.

As his body became new again however he has taken on newfound powers. His overall rage has taken on the form of many spikes that our poisonous. Not sure if the Black artist meant this change or not.

Another late question has arrisen as investigations reveal that it may infact be the painting that has come to life and not the man. Doreean Gray the creature is unaware of this and believes he is the man.
As it turns out this is a good thing as evil was intended for his life; Doreean instead is inclined to fight
against evil.
