As an energy being Shi has no corporeal form herself. instead she has purchased or comissioned a bio-mechanical body capable of housing her essence.

She never discusses her history directly, but it is beleived she is a runaway princess from some star empire far beyond our reckoning. Probably here to sow her 'wild oats'
