Orphaned at a young age, Reisma fell in with the wrong crowd. In her neighborhood, that meant the Skulls. She would go along with them on their various jobs, including deliveries of 'dyne to the Trolls. Sometimes they'd use her to show the Trolls it was the real deal. She developed an addiction to it, and the addiction in turn mutated her genome.

Unlike most who fall into 'dyne, she didn't become a grotesque monster. It changed her vocal chords and hollowed her bones, letting her build powerful sonic resonances. Not that she knew it at the time - that discovery would have to wait until the work of heroes like Manticore had cleaned up King's Row enough that she couldn't get her fix anymore.

She got into the heroing business thanks to a rep from Hero Corp, and has been fighting the good fight since.
