Character Bio

Alexia Malcolm grew up on Shark Island in the Rogue Isles. On her 18th birthday, she entered into training to become a Blood Widow. After long months of training, she spent the following year battling Longbow on Mercy Island. Her last mission was a deadly disaster. She was the lone survivor, trapped in some underground nuclear lab. Longbow attack using grenades unaware what the lab contained. The force of the blasts ruptured reactor containment vessel releasing deadly neutron radiation, killing all save Alexia. Later, in hospital recovering, Ghost Widow confronted Alexia. There she blamed her for the incident and banished her from the Widows. Disgraced, she fled Rogue Isles eventually making her way to Paragon City where she met Positron. Positron sensed the neutron power she now possessed. He took her in to help her understand her new powers. Under Positron tutelage, Alexia learned and she realized her new purpose. As Spider-Maiden, she now fulfills her new purpose, to serve and protect.
