Mike from Accounting has no memories of his past life, beyond that he was Mike, from Accounting. What company did he do accounting for? How did he come to be merged with a Nictus? Why does he have an instinctive knowledge of whether your budgets are balanced or not?

No one knows these things. Not even Mike. He just knows that he wasn't right for a while, and now, he feels he needs to put his own books into balance by fighting evil.
